Dental technicians from all over the UK are on their way to Telford after the destination was chosen for a two-day national show.

The dental Tech Show will take place at The International Centre, Telford, on March 19 and 20 – the first time it has been held in the area.

ticOrganisers said Tech Show 2015 was the UK’s only event totally dedicated to dental technicians and dental laboratories, and that they were delighted to be coming to the destination.

Edmund Proffitt, for the show, said: “We have chosen The International Centre because its facilities match exactly what we are looking for.

“It offers flexible hall space; a good, modern and welcoming venue; good transport links; great on-site facilities; and plenty of choice of accommodation for both visitors and exhibitors. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful too.”

Delegates at the event will get the chance to see a unique showcase of technical dentistry including a range of lectures, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations from internationally-recognised experts from the technical world.

Some of the largest dental technology suppliers and manufacturers will also be on hand to showcase what’s new in equipment, products, and services.

Tom Gray, chief executive of Southwater Event Group, which owns The International Centre, said the show was the latest in a series of new contract wins for the venue which were all linked to the medical sector.

The venue has become the first choice for a series of health sector associations, bringing thousands of delegates to the town and providing a big-money boost to the economy.

“We believe it’s a combination of our programme of expansion, and the new Southwater convention quarter on our doorstep, that is proving to be a winning combination.

“It’s brought a marked increase in the number of events from the medical association sector, with a mixture of new and repeat bookings, and we’re looking forward to adding the dent Tech Show to our list of new events.”
